Most of the hotel appears to Have been remodeled relatively recently. I had a room with two queen, beds and windows on both sides of the room which is really nice. One side faces the parking courtyard and the other faced eighth Avenue. Both sides had heavy curtains that could nearly entirely block out the long strong sunlight when needed. There was a nice mini fridge and microwave, Modern lamps on the nightstand and desk were very nice, and there’s an actual closet. There’s a really great coffee shop just across the street at the foot of the famous old El Cortez building. You could walk from here to just about anything downtown, even to the harbor, though it is a bit of a distance. Although there is a substantial fee for parking overnight, there is street parking available in the block all around the hotel, which is metered between 8 AM and 6 PM. The hotel was very nice to allow me to park for a few hours in the afternoon before I went out to dinner And then I was able to park on the street so I didn’t need to pay to park overnight

I'm giving this hotel an overall rating of 10 not because it's a luxury hotel, but because it was a very good overall deal (price/quality/location) and all the staff was very friendly. They don't have an airport shuttle, but it's just 3 miles from the airport so an uber or taxi is doesn't cost much. Other hotels in the area with an airport shuttle were much more expensive. I walked down to the waterfront (San Diego harbor) in about 20 minutes. Since I had time (and only a backpack for luggage) in the morning I also walked from the hotel to the airport to catch my flight. The second 2/3 of that walk is along a walking path that follows the waterfront.

I really love the area, walk in the room it was clean and neat we didn't experience any noisy neighbors, nice and calming, relaxing environment, property it's self well maintained. Coffee provider the the office area. But I wasn't able to walk in for breakfast this morning but there's always next time. Oh well. I like the most was that they have installed body wash shampoo and conditioner. Then hand soap with lotion my setup. I really did enjoy myself and it was not what I expected it would be but it's pretty nice and decent and I recommend this location to anyone. I took myself and my boys but everything else it was fine.

The location is really good. It only takes few minutes to drive to many famous landmarks. The staff who served the breakfast in the restaurant is so sweet and kind. When we wanna refill the bottle, she is always smiling and willing to assist us. We would like to stay here again when we visit San Diego next time.

Nice hotel. The room is spacious, with 2 big beds. Lights and windows working fine. The bed is comfortable. The reception is open 24h, and there is free breakfast. The hotel is very central, near a pedestrian street full of bars and restaurants, and near a very big park.
